What Makes Up Culture? World Geography focuses on the concepts of geography and the study of the elements of culture. Areas of western culture (cultures derived from Europe) and eastern culture are examined for similarities and differences. Regions included in 1st Semester are Europe, North America, Latin America, and occasionally Australia (if time permits). 2nd semester will include Africa, Asia, and parts of Europe. Emphasis is placed on the geographic, economic, political, religious and social systems of these regions. Current world events and problems as they relate to these regions are studied.
