Course Summary:

This course examines on a world-wide basis the vary­ing trends and movements from the pre-World War I period to the present. The course emphasizes world history with a strong European component. The ultimate purpose of the course is to help develop an understanding of the complexi­ty of issues involved in our unfolding world situation. The course is designed for the average to above average level student and is recom­mend­ed for students interested in the political, social and economic impacts of World War I, World War II, and the Cold War.
